That's a rather naive analysis of the situation. Ericsson stood to lose billions and there was an extensive effort to stop cdma gaining a foothold. Ericsson was not right - cdmaOne works better than any other system. None of the systems hit the road with no bugs. They all have technical and marketing bugs. Development is a long and arduous road, always under construction. As Ericsson has lately found to their dismay with the enormous success of Nokia. Motorola in tatters.
Don't you think the "Succumbing to Techno-Seduction" title to be suggesting motives other than promoting a new technology on the part of Qualcomm? Let alone the direct claims of fraud, which were proven false you should know.
Also, your approach to IPR needs attention. The fact that Motorola and others have made claims against Qualcomm's IPR and Interdigital even pried many millions out of them doesn't mean that the claims are valid. Claims pursued will be tested in courts and political power. Where there's smoke, there is not necessarily fire. Contrary to popular myth.
Your gratuitous suggestion that I depart this thread is rejected. These are not idolatory clubs for religious mania. They are discussion, point of view, fact and argument places to help investors.
Ericsson is, to me, an amoral organisation, out to misappropriate Qualcomm's IPR. They deserve the contempt and failure which might well follow that behaviour. Maybe that isn't a popular line with Ericsson investors.
