Well said, Randy.
Now that I am glued to this porcupine, one thing that I am afraid ( very afraid) will make me itchy to buy some more if it should approach say 1.25 ( what a luxurious penny stock!) ....
There are inevitable surprises in stocks of course, and I am sure we all try to buy ones in which the odds favor that most of those surprises will be pleasant. AXC seemed that way a few years ago.
But for the last couple of years we were faced with the dilemma that one unfortunate thing was a known ( TV aftermarket revenue decline ) and all the potentially happy possibilities were unknowns. In the present situation, part of that outlook has done a 180. Now we know sales are not good, but we also know revenue, with the Micronet acquisition, is about to increase - for the first time in many years. For the first time in many years we KNOW something good is about to happen. Say a minimum of 85 million in revenue ( and that would be a likely worst case ) from a year beginning in the third quarter of '98. take 75 % of that as a capitalization. Divide by say a dilution to 55 million shares. 1 and 3/16? Roundabouts. I only look at revenues when a stock gets this low...the only fear of negative earnings for awhile is bankruptcy ...and sitting on all that cash - AXC is not going bankrupt anytime soon. The general direction from a price that low ...with any kind of additional acquisition at a fair price ...would very likely be up. Very likely over time. Of course I also believe that is true from today's price - or I'd be more scared right now than I am.
Any one know the Amex listing requirements? Is AXC going to be forced into a reverse split by this decline? That is not always a disaster. Might even be a good idea at some point for this particular stock. Owned stock in a company called Sunward Technology several years ago ..bought it at a pe of 2, BTW.....they were forced into a reverse split...then taken out 6 hair raising months later at a nice premium by Connors Peripherals..later Connors, of course, was gobbled up by Seagate ...and so on in the tech world fandango. If I ever sell AXC, I think I will stick to nice rock quarry and diaper companies. Sorry...lol..I'm babbling.
