James,

The idea of the tape (I'm assuming video not just audio, is that right?) is great but I'm wondering if maybe they could take it one step further. Think there would be any chance they could set up conference call facilities via an 800 number so we could either hear all or a portion of the meeting either "live" or via "instant replay" by playing portions of the proceedings via the 800 number?

Unfortunately, after considerable vacillation, I decided I just couldn't make the trip right now -- simply too many other things going on. However, I'd really like to get the "straight scoop" as soon as possible. Like I say the tape is a step in the right direction but I doubt if we'd get it in the mail for a week or so (unless we have an option to spring for overnight shipping).

A lot of companies have their earning reports available both live via conference call and delayed via tape for 2-3 days following the reports. I don't know if any of them ever "transmit" entire annual meetings but I suspect the highlights could probably be squeezed onto a tape lasting 30-60 minutes. Seems this is especially important just in case there are any "bombshell" announcements :-).

I realize good notes will undoubtedly be available via on the thread but most people would probably agree hearing things the way they actually happen is a much more effective means of communication.

I'd direct this via e-mail to Dan Murphy but I suspect he's already down in Orlando with the rest of the DCI troops.

Wish I could be there ... but what can I say (except wasn't today GRRRRRREEEAAAAATTTT (?!!?)).

Dan

Note: If we can't hear it either "live or delayed" via an 800 number, I'd (really) happily spring for the Fed. Exp. shipping expense so I could get it the day after the tape copies have been made.
