Re: "Remember, AMD could have been posting profits quarter after quarter based on other product lines

Every assertion and innuendo in this statement is inaccurate. "

Oh really? Then you are saying that AMD's other product lines are losers as well? I don't think so. AMD has a strong presence in networking and they had a strong 29000 line of controllers until Jerry decided to trash that product so he could waste all available cash attacking Intel. Flash memory could have benifited from more R&D funds, but no, that money was needed to fight Intel. Other microcontroller lines could have produced profits if there was available funding. Where did the funds go? Did he make a wise decision for the shareholders? Are shareholders better off now than they were 20 years ago? AMD has posted 4 straight quarterly losses and are headed for a 5th. Is Jerry's vision working for the shareholders or just for Jerry? How does AMD's 20 year growth compare to the S&P? Jerry is the only reason AMD is in the toilet. 500 CEO's could have lead AMD into profitability and we have the 501'st. If Jerry isn't on Intel's payroll he should be. He's the best friend they even had.
