It was Democrat LBJ who lumped Social Security into the budget in 1969, not Reagan. ..Really bright eyes? Afghanistan covert aid started in 1979, under Carter. Reagan couldn't spell Afghanistan like Quayle couldn't spell POTATOE. "We begin bombing in 5 minutes." Your knowledge of Real Politik is obviously blinded by your political sentiment. Wrong. Read some history. Carter refused the Afghani's the Stinger missiles and they were being slaughtered under his "assistence". It was not until Reagan gave them the Stingers that the tide started to be turned. ..So much for "education." Yup. You should try some.
