<<We can present the Gospel to people, but only the Holy Spirit can help an individual know the Lord>>

Hello Emile. I hope you have been well and blessed in the Lord this day.
What you stated above was a hard lesson learned for me.
A message I heard preached brought me much comfort in saying "It is not our duty to convert the sinner, but to present the Gospel!"
There is so much freedom in the new covenant where we are not bound by the law. Freedom in the simplicity of Christ and His sacrifice to do away with sacrifice and traditions and yet how many are still under bondage!
Praise God for your word here this day.

Where the Lord states in Matthew 5
vs 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Here I still see the law remaining in force for judgment only...
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
As such I see it remaining still as the schoolmaster to bring us to Christ as it is not possible to keep the law.
I am not saying it is there to be practised by the letter but to reveal our sin and the need for Gods' plan of salvation.

With love in the Lord
John
