Rosemary, I haven't checked the whole sector yet, but I suspect
that the advance is pretty broad. Biotechs are ideal for a January
Effect and investors are just figuring that out.
LGND closed at its high for the day (13 5/8) on just under 700,000
shares and I still haven't see a Dow Jones article on last night's
release. LGND will be releasing news on an almost daily basis and
I expect much more (my prediction is an all time high of >20 by the end of
January), and today's 1 1/4 point gain on heavy volume (again) is a
definite breakout signal.
