Alfonso, take Annie's advice and "chill."

John Kaiser is a resource-focused investment newsletter writer and, unlike USA Today, can't fill up his pages with speculation about the sexual proclivities of the head of state. Instead, he has to speculate about what Ashton will do -- or -- make banal observation about the obvious.

The most disturbing aspect of the July 27 news release is the implication that Ashton will not be drilling new targets until next winter.

"Implication"? Where did he get this from? Did he read the same press release we did? I think he'll be eating crow on this one shortly.

But this is really my favorite:

The K91 bulk sample will not be representative of the pipe's potential because the sample was not recovered through systematic grid drilling, which is necessary when you are dealing with large pipes (30 million tonnes plus) known to have grade variability.

Uh, got it! "Note for Hillier and Auston -- next time drill the four holes in a square instead of a straight line, then the sample will be representative." What is more, what sort of idiot pays for a resource industry investment letter, but yet can't figure out that a 50 tonne sample isn't representative of a 100+ million tonne pipe?

For John Kaiser's sake I hope he isn't correct about the Ashton news vacuum. Because if he is, he'll be writing about "how Cecil Rhodes crossed the Transvaal and its consequences on the Alberta Diamond Play" or "a brief history of carbon" around November!
