g'day all - dear Darleen, it helps to be like me like a deer in front of a 18 wheeler <g> I froze and stopped looking at the tickers!
Back to Asia, I was reading some popular magazines [eq of People Magazine <VBG>] from Hong Kong over the weekend. Basically, RE is a mess. At the height of the RE craze only a year ago, the top locales fetched for 10,000HKD/sq foot. Now, they are down to 5,000HKD! However, the real story is the Tale of Two Cities, i.e., it is the best of time and it is the worst of time. The latter 1st, a lot of speculators got killed. However, for those who have deep pockets and have managed their assets conservatively, they are now picking up prime parcels and buildings for good prices, not unlike the RE crash in the US back in the early 90s.
