I believe that Qwest is very well positioned in the new world of telecom. However, I do have a major concern about the way they have sold off substantial chunks of their network to competitors. I realize that it help them build this network without huge outlays of debt, but it also has helped companies such as Frontier and GTE move years ahead of where they would have been if Qwest didn't sell fiber to them.
