Some input from someone I know who has a good picture of the Lotus Notes and NetWare development history.

<<Thats old news. IBM has had plans to start dropping NetWare from their Notes platform for a long time. If fact, what NLM version of Notes they have now is so inefficently written that it makes NetWare look bad anyways.

I think that it will be more of a positive than a negative for one big reason.

Now, any IT shops out there that are primarily a NetWare shop will be logically pushed into using GroupWise as their natural choice. There is no serious competition from the other two. Where if your shop is an NT shop, Notes and Exchange have to slug it out to prove who is the best, in the NetWare shops GroupWise is by FAR the natural cost and features winner!!!>>
