mrknowitall, I have a three year old pentium 90 (yes, it is a Dell), connect at 24000 at the best, old video card, 16 megs of RAM, in other words an obsolete machine. I followed Mohan's link to Dell's front page. It took 15 seconds to finish loading. I managed to check out their reconditioned systems page and two different machines in under a minute. If this is a problem I don't see it.
