Gregory:

Am I being sarcastic about Aristotle and his beliefs ? No. Not at all. My point is that in any civilization there are commonly held beliefs that are later found to be absurd. Aristotle therefor is known more for his ability to make some rather astounding deductions from some rather skimpy data.

As far as a list of recipients of my contributions . I support my local church liberally and we have a very prosperous church but I also support to a lesser degree several churches in my area that are having a hard time financially. I support Appalachian Teen Challenge in Athens West Virginia one of my favorites. They rehabilitate criminals, drug offenders, runaways, sexual offenders; the worst of the worst. It is run by an EX corporate executive by the name of Jim Nichols. I also support some food banks, a home for battered women, a Presbyterian Childrens Home, a boys home, Times Square church, and a few evangelists, occasionally.

But do you know what all my contributions will get me. Nothing.I know this comes as a shock to you but they are not worth enough to wipe the spit off of God's lips. The very best we can offer God is but "filthy rags " in the eyes of God.

That is why we need Jesus. No other way. Jesus is IT. God is a rewarder of the faith that we place in what Christ did for us.

I want nothing in return for the charities I donate to. I want nothing in return for the 20 hours a week I spend ministering to others on the www. I want nothing in return for the many people I have led to the Lord.

But , and this is a big but. I do want my full reward for the faith, the expectations, and the anticipation that I have fully measured by the shed blood of my Lord, and by His teachings and example that He set forth.

In Christ..gregor
