Eng, Chairman, President and CEO of Atlanta Gold Corporation and Voisey Bay Resources Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Walters as Exploration Manager-Indonesia of both companies. Stephen Walters is a professional geologist holding a B.Sc and MSc. in geology with more than fifteen years experience, including more than nine years experience in Indonesia, holding senior positions with a number of major mining companies. His extensive experience in Indonesia includes the initial exploration of the Busang deposit in 1987-1988 for the previous operator Montague Gold NL.-PT. Westralian Atan Minerals. In 1991 Walters led the field program which resulted in the discovery of the Awak Mas Gold Deposit (>2.5 million oz. gold). Other senior positions include contracts with Newmont Mining Corporation and Placer Pacific/Placer Dome where Walters was responsible for property evaluations in Indonesia. More recently Walters was Chief Geologist with Scorpion Minerals Inc. Walters brings to the company a thorough in-depth working knowledge of mineral exploration in Indonesia and will be instrumental in the advancement of the company's aggressive exploration program in the region.
