Off Topic: Windows 95, 98 and NT.

Some information regarding Windows 95. My advice: If you have it, don't upgrade to Windows 98 for at least a year. Recommendations regarding Windows 98 at our university are simple. We are by-passing Windows 98. All machines that run on Windows 95 are staying with 95 (including service packs and patches - depending on the 95 version). Any new machines must have Windows NT installed. And to put it simply, we prefer not to shell out $150.00 (or whatever Mediocre Software is asking) for what we deem is a service patch (Windows 98). Windows 95 is working just fine for us.

If you're buying a NEW machine to play games on and cannot obtained a (legitamate :)) copy of 95, then I guess you're stuck with 98. NT is geared for business use, although it does have reasonably adequate game support. One other note; NT is not quite as user friendly as Windows 95 -- installation wise. Just my 2 cents worth.
