Alomex's reference to the MacOS X disaster ...

Just to clarify. What I mean by "MacOS X disaster" is that Apple said "here's our new OS --Rhapsody", and developers said "good for you".

Then Aple quickly picked up the pieves and changed to a strategy to keep the same APIs while using the Rhapsody kernel. This is a (good) solution to a problem that, ideally, should never even have happened in the first place.

The result is that, even if all what Gerry says turns out to be true, it will happen a year too late. Is that bad? yes. Is that critical? Time will tell.

(Ironically, now I believe the best thing Apple can do to the Mac is evolve it into a better windows that windows OS).
