I would tend to think the opposite, If volume is high I would think they would tighten because they make their money between the bid/ask. if there was no volume I think they would expand the spread. Like TXAG was .014 / .015 just 4 days ago with high volume, now .004 / .007 with no volume. IMO, WHen MM'S Tighten the spread, Something is going on....
