Secondary offerings don't usually go over too big for BB stocks. And this way the float remains low for the next year so any demand will push the price up quickly.

There is generally a 25% or so discount in most private placements. Remember the stock closed yesterday at 1.03. They felt they needed the money now to pursue the Internet gaming opportunity. This enables PINC to be perceived as more than merely a Y2K company and also answers the sticky question, "What will they do after the year 2000?"

What is most impressive is that the placement was bought by company insiders. This shows they have great faith in the company.

Not a bad deal for PINC at all, IMHO. And in the market's opinion as well!!
