God, I hate to get involved in this speculation, but I must be missing something. You guys who are postulating that MDIN or some other "player to be named later" purchased 25,000,000 shares-- how?? I mean, we had the last count at 53 mill not too long ago, and I know we haven't had anywhere close to 25 million in volume since then. Can they just buy it up over time with the agreement to then cancel it out at some later date? Seems if MDIN were buying, it would have to come off the TA's account pretty much as it happened. If someone else were buying, I don't know....But if I were a company and purchased around 47% of a company over time on the open market, I don't think I'd just cancel that out for anything except maybe a VAST majority JV on all their operations. I have to count myself in the common to preferred camp.

Speaking of which, I don't see how such a conversion would help us from a price per share standpoint, except by making the shorting situation more difficult. Anybody have other ways that they're thinking??

Geoff

PS- called the TA for NPEC to check out WHL's Theory. The very nice lady said "You'll have to give me a ring tomorrow, I'm just way too busy to go look that up for you now." Wow, wonder what's going on at American T&R. Submitted for your approval--Make your own judgement as to whether or not that deserves a hmmmmmmmmm.
