I actually live in Kuala Lumpur but spend a good deal of time here in Singapore. Life, for me, is quite good, especially with the devaluation, in the sense that my American dollars go a bit further. But things have slowed down in Malaysia and even venerable Singapore, to the effect, that life is not so good for the average person I suspect. Prices have risen, layoffs, shops closing, etc etc.
Don't know when I will return to stay put. In general, we see ourselves shuttling back and forth for some time to come. I suspect we will be more often stateside when my son reaches preppie age.
