"I have come across another problem in my area. I have checked out PSI's home page and found that there is no local access number for my area. This would included the cities of Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, Marina, Seaside, Salinas, King City and others. STNX has said that I can have a 800 number that only charges me $.09 per minute for access. Wow, that means for about $75 per month plus and $3.60 PER HOUR I can have internet access."

This is how it works:
If there IS a local access number, users can use it of course! If there IS a local access number but it is a toll call (the local phone company uses/charges local access fees) then users can connect via the 800# at $.09 per minute. To repeat, this is an option and should only be used if the local rates are higher.
If there IS NOT a local access number, then users can connect via an 800# AT NO CHARGE.
