As an Excel Rep. I think the vision of the company is beautiful and have made some money myself, I even know some people making $50,000+ a month, but I question the future. Excel has been doing extremely well with their new business rates, and I believe in almost every state they blow away the competition, but the residential side of things are starting to see a squeeze. They increased rates for most in-state calls and now the big three seem to be going back to 10 cents all the time. Of course it is $5 a month but why would you pay 50% more for excel rates when you only pay $1 a month plus the $1 or so for the new federal tax. Yes, there are some good international rates but when Excel decides to change a rate, it takes some time to have everyone become informed. The old pyramid effect. I am hoping for some great new products with the Teleglobe merger. Good luck to all reps.
