judy,i m feeling the hurt hope that means we are coming to the end now.
aol:
i had 300% profit in aol now down to 49%. - these are 99 leaps .
my y2k1 leaps now breaking even. (i think)
i m probably at loss in the ones i bot most recent down turn.

msft : i wanted jan 99 puts. cuz i would loose less time value.
if i buy oct puts then what do when that time runs out? costs more to buy twice.

i was afraid to sell calls cuz i could not let my long positions get called away. i just can not ever sell my msft. these were bot in july 96 sell off. very low basis. i m in a lot of trouble now.
i would have to buy back calls at loss.

msft, dell csco are huge %% of my total portfolio. i can not take any profit. period. out of question.

also a friend told me that little guys are not buying puts so lots of bullishness still in the market. if people like me buy puts then that should be end of correction.

i knew msft was in trouble a long time ago. Dell alone can not do it.
well ... so much for retirement. back to drawiang table.
