Try a boulder like we used to get on the Ross placer. 20 feet in diameter, it weighed 100 tons. No piece of heavy equipment today can lift it. They used to use a giant airlift pump to lift 3 foot boulders 100 feet by the dozens a minute. The water to run those operations occupied 5,000 miles of pipe in one valley. They diverted a river 30 miles to obtain the water.

The scale of a large valley operation like the one GE is telling you they must be into would cost more than a dollar. Like try a coupla 100 million of them. Draglines to move the kind of dirt they would need cost perhaps 30 million to build and they have to be built on site. I shudder to think what that would cost you to get into that country.
