Soooo, Symantec will market "Norton 2000", which is actually VIASOFT's OnMark 2000, which VIASOFT buys from AstraTek Inc., who are now to be acquired by Tadeo Holdings Corp. which is publicly traded under the symbol TDEO.

Viasoft's OnMark 2000 line has nine components. One of these is Assess. Norton 2000 is based on Assess. AstraTek developed some of the Workbench products, not Assess. Assess was developed by Erasoft, which Viasoft acquired in the last year. Erasoft is now Viasoft Canada.

The retail version of Norton 2000 will be available only in that form, and will contain significant new features. Viasoft will earn royalties on it.

The corporate edition will have much in common with Viasoft's present and future releases. Both companies will sell their own versions of the corporate product. They are being developed in a single effort.

Norton 2000 will have the Norton System Center for software distribution and automated deployment. Viasoft offers their Survey module for this purpose. Norton 2000 will also feature Symantec's LiveUpdate technology, to enable users to easily update the database of application compliance which will be in the new product, and the program itself.

I don't know anything about the acquisition of AstraTek by Tadeo.
