I understand your thinking here. But this volatile market has surprised before. Also if you think the stocks will potentially move down allot, then PUTs would be able to capture the complete move. Is the premium on PUT you re interested in for the stock pretty high? You can always purchase the cheaper out of the money PUTs. Bob Graham
