My system is simply to buy and hold since I do not have the smarts
or the experience to make the right short-term decisions. The
system has served very well (mainly by switching a lot out of INTC into LU, DELL, MSFT, ANSD, CSCO etc at the start of the year). OTOH
I lost a huge bundle by being 100% in INTC through the debacle last year.

By diversifying this year, I've had a very good run. There have
been bumps along the way - but nothing too troubling till
now. Now the "generals" are getting killed and this has me worried.

I keep seeing a sea of red in my holdings - I don't like this
wholesale bloodletting - diversification is no defense any more.

Is buy and hold only suitable for someone who never looks
at the stock tables after the initial purchase?
