Gave TBOP a call today---spoke with Walt Fratczyk(excuse the spelling)--he was readily available to answer questions that I had.
He said that American Kiosk is a seperate co. and on it's own and able to sell TBOP pizza's anywhere in the country with their concept of Pizza Place. He said they did recieve a payment for the rights to buy their ovens and sell their Pizza's. That was a one time payment. The way that TBOP will profit from AKIS is simply by selling them the ovens and the Pizza's. So the more successful Pizza Place is the more TBOP sells. Simple concept isn't it. He also stated that to date they are doing $120,000.00 per month in business. And that $60,000 of that is from re orders. Sounds good to me. He stated that he expects to be in the black the early part of 1999. He also stated that this is no longer a start up co. and That they are fully operational and on their way. When I asked him how the expansion with the national distributors was going he said Fantastic,He sounded excited for what it's worth. He said that they are working with several.
The product could do well in my opinion -- you have an oven that is very small that runs on 115V electricity which is a regular household outlet. So you need no special setup to run one of these ovens. And the best part of it is you cook one of these pizza's in 2 1/2 minutes. Sounds good to me. So I asked myself what else is needed to make this co. worth investing in, oh yeah thats right does this pizza taste good and would I buy it again? So I went out and tried it. Tasted good to me and yes I would buy it again. This is what I have found out and if you are interested in contacting TBOP also you will find the Phone # at WWW.TOPPERSPIZZA.COM A smart investor should always call to verify information that they have heard. Guys I hope that this helps.
