Joseph - In contrast (Internet ?) Explorer is just a vulgar copy of an established technology (Netscape) Guess you don't know your technology or recent history in the business, since this is 100% wrong. Netscape (then called Mosaic Communications Corp) used the original Mosaic code without license. The real mosaic code had been licensed to Spyglass. Spyglass licensed the original Mosaic code to Microsoft. U of I sued Netscape over both IP violations and illegal use of trade name (mosaic). So did Spyglass. Netscape settled out of court, changed their name from Mosaic Communications Corp to Netscape, and has paid royalties to spyglass ever since. So it was really Netscape who was using the 'vulgar copy' and Microsoft who licensed the original code.
