In any science you have necessary first principles. For geometry it would be a straight line. For math, positive or negative numbers. For Christianity, God is Love. It is impossible for God to act in a way that is contrary to love for mankind. Even in judgement or eradication of an evil civilization it would be for the ultimate aim of restoration. This brings us to the idea of why a God of love would demand that a soul be condemned to hell for all eternity as an act of love. Love for whom? The bible first of all tells us that it pleased God to see Christ suffer on the cross. Christ willingly hung there when He had a legion of angels ready to rescue Him. So even if a sinner does not recognize what Christ did then why does God require eternal punishment for this oversight ? The answer lies in the human heart; wicked beyond all imagination. All evil generations are looking for a sign. But when they get a sign they are looking for a more convincing sign. Just as Isreal had killed all the prophets that God sent them they also killed Christ. They had reached the point where the Holy Spirit withdrew from their hardened hearts. Likewise in eternal damnation the Holy Spirit has withdrawn and there is no desire for anything of God. What that person rejected with the urging of the Holy Spirit will also be eternally rejected without the urging and calling of the Holy Spirit. So you say, why would not a Holy loving God then send His Holy Spirit once again even to a person in hell to urge them to come to God. The answer is that even then, it would not do any good. By that time the heart is so hardened they would reject the calling of God even then. They would rather then spend eternity in hell than admit they were wrong. They would rather spend eternity in anguish than to admit they were wrong. Even then they would choose judgement rather than grace. All sciences start out with puzzles, observations, and opinions. An inductive procedure takes over that leads to first principles that then lead to the laws of the science. However if the first principles are inaccurate the whole of the science will be flawed. The straight line in geometry. Light then we say travels in a straight line, but does it. Light travels through space but space is curved. So we have straight light traveling through a curved space so then is a straight line really straight ?? When light invades the darkness you have light. But what about when darkness invades the light ? Do you have darkness ? Less light ? The same amount of light is still there ? You can have varying degrees of light ? What is whiteness ? Science tells us all lights in the spectrum create white light.? The white light broken down gives us all the colors. ? How can this be ? You have some very basic assumptions in your own personal philosophy that are dead wrong. I do not know what they are but this is the only thing that can explain your separation from Jesus Christ. One day science will be able to explain how Christ walked on the water. I do not know how He did it but as Albert Einstein says , the most misunderstood thing about the universe is that it is explainable. In Christ...gregor
