I apologise for taking your italicized print for saying they weren't competitors. I was merely pointing out that competition exists.. and that we need to be aware of the fact that Portico is not going to just bound out and destroy all other attempts at Unified Messaging. Not that I am suggesting that you feel this way, but to say that Wildfire, the oldest product in this market with the largest subscriber base and the most trade and non-trade press (read MINDSHARE)is not a competitor for Portico is idiocy.
Portico could grow to be known as a better and more complete product than Wildfire in time, but right now they are just starting up. Great potential.. but no proof.
I believe the Portico service is superior, but again, questions abound as to the viability of the product, their ability to gain and keep subscribers, their handling of call volume, structuring of debt, etc. etc. etc.
Sorry if I offended with my comments, but please don't take it personally, this is only a discussion board, and I welcome the bantering of ideas and opinions.
regards, JC |
