Don,
You bring up an interesting point and maybe a few more people were wondering. Why? Why would these incredibly smart and educated people (e.g. trustee of CalTech; maybe somebody should drop them a note...) descend on little IMES? They risk a public embarrassment and a forever tarnished reputation (we are already at that stage), in the future maybe the complete destruction of their professional and personal life. A possible conclusion: because the business opportunities are just too exciting, beyond belief. Is Hoevel hiding something we haven't even thought about? Is there a functional META 6,000 in his drawer? I think Frank mentioned that their hiring seems to indicate that the chip has not been abandoned. But I'm wrong, right? RIGHT?
