News from Even Further South Voissey's Bay
Thursday July 30th , 1998
I picked up the following story from Canadian Press, I thought you might be interested.
(CP) More `Pots and Pans' in Labrador. While digging a pit for a new outhouse, former mine exploration executive, Willie Findit, struck solid metal recently. Quickly, various Jr. Mining Exploration Companies on the Vancouver Stock Exchange put together a consortium of companies. These include, Donnair , Sgt. Major General Pepper, Black Labrador and Golden Retriever, who on the basis one really good drill result saw their shares climb higher and higher. That drill result was at a depth of .4 metres and included a 3cm strip of solid nickel and steel. Source say the geology of the find is exactly like another find that was close to a real operating mine some where else. Of course, the geography was exactly like the now famous, but now nearly abandoned find in Voissey's Bay, lakes, trees and rocks. Interest has been heightened recently due to the high production costs in the area, low commodity prices in the world and little or no substantiation that there is any other ore in the area. When asked to comment, Willie said," I don't know what all the fuss is about, all I found was an old pot my wife had lost 12 years ago. Now its no good as some damn JV drilled a hole right through it"
The find is being described as Even Further South Voissy's Bay and it appears to be going South rapidly these days as is everything else about Voissey's Bay.
