Re: "real" people

Off topic..
Just an observation & an opinion.
it seems to me that our company does not depend on SI for it's support.
I am glad, that means to me that our shareholders are "real" people, and don't make decisions based on a chat board.
I think that is very good for us.

anyone,

I agree with your observation and opinion some what in a general sense. But not in all cases, take for instance, if your thread has a dedicated people, with enough $$ invested you can have just the opposite effect of your comments.

Granted it's hard to get people to really be dedicated and not just self-serving, but when they do, the results can be great.

Take for instance FNTN, of 16 Million Shares, and 11 Mil Float, FNTN SI members control 6 1/2 Million shares.

SI Members owning 6.5 Mil shares leaves a lot less for the MM's to use to manipulate.

Many thanks to dharampal luthra, and other dedicated FNTNers, who have provided not only DD, but shareholdings so we can keep an approximate count, and maintain some control over our and the company's destiny.

If FNTN SI shareholders were to take possession of their Shares this would really hurt the short sellers.

"Public companies victimized by unregulated short selling have only one defense. If they can get enough of their shareholders to request delivery of their share certificates, the public company can force the short sellers to cover (buy) shares to deliver to the shareholders requesting their certificates."
From: The Good the Bad & the Ugly Story in The BEAR & BULL July 98.

A couple of other quick quotes from the same story very worth noting.

"The sixty-five year effort of the U.S. SEC hasn't reduced stock fraud.
In 1932, over 98% of public (OC) companies failed. In 1998, over 98% of OTC companies will fail. "

"Brokerage firms make most of their money two ways. They underwrite IPO's. They sell stocks short. The short sellers are unregulated. Unlimited short selling destroys public companies. The public losses because the share price collapses and the company is delisted.
The reason short selling is so profitable is that over 98% of OTC companies fail. If you are certain of being right over
98% of the time, how can you lose money?"

"Breaking the short sellers stranglehold on the stock benefits the public shareholders. It forces the short sellers to cover at a progressively higher share prices. "

The entire article is full of excellent information.

I'm not trying to tout FNTN here, just noteing concept we established.
