Brother Emile,

Let the Lord continue this enlightening conversation and study of his holy word .....

"We studied Hebrews to understand Jeremiah 31 and not the other way around."

The order in which you specify is really insignificant to me. Either way you look at it, both books are inerrant and both need to be fulfilled and coexist. [Remember I came to faith in Jesus Christ without ever reading the New Testament! Thank you Father! So the Old Testament can stand on its own, without even introducing the New Testament! Look at the Old Testament patriarchs, they did not have the New Testament!]

I say the Old Testament scripture must in perfect harmony with the New Testament, whether you look at the New to explain the Old, or Old to explain the New.

"The prophecies of the Old Test. were obscure before Jesus clearly fulfilled the Messianic prophecies."

I humbly disagree with this statement. Some were, but definitely not all. Many prophecies were clearly understandable before Christ came to earth.

I look forward to your discussion about the definition of a Jew.

May God Bless You Today and Always,
Steve
