John - your posts on Y2000 are very interesting and alarming. It's difficult for the layman to know if there is a positive slant out there, or whether all will be mahem. My only observation at this point is that although the media are not reporting (in full) it the market will soon start to become aware of it and will begin to discount the effect on the economy. Of course this could be one of the many factors which will gain currency as a bear market develops and people start looking at the dark side. Just now, we're still at the toppy stage where euphoria prevails and bad news is brushed aside. Nothing new in that - just my 10 cents worth. E
