Anthony - Re:"the cost of microprocessors to go up significantly..."

The cost of the highest end microprocessors will go up - providing performance improvements and added functionality to justify the added costs.

On the flip side - the new processes and larger wafers will enable "older" generation processors to be shrunk in size with commensurate performance improvements as well - all for lower costs due to the smaller device geometries and larger wafers (when they arrive).

This will make lower cost, higher perfromance systems readily available, in addition to the very high end/higher cost machines.

All told, it will be business as usual in the fast lane.
