Everyone - Re:Intel, Microsoft, etc.

This press release from Montgomery Securities sounds a positive note for the short and near term future of Intel, Microsoft, etc. Maybe it will re-fuel the upward momentum that disappeared this afternoon.

Corporate computer/software spending seen rising

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec 10 (Reuter) - Corporate spending on computers and software will rise 20 percent worldwide
annually for years, fueling technology stocks, a Montgomery Securities research director said Tuesday.

Thomas Thornhill told investors at the securities firm's conference that he expects the worldwide technology
spending to rise to more than $1.4 trillion in annual revenue by 2000 from about $950 billion now.

Thornhill said most technology bellwethers -- including International Business Machines Corp , Microsoft Corp , Intel
Corp -- could still see their stocks rise in coming months, even though they are trading at record levels.
