Paul,
I have no data on the yields of the K6-3 or know why it will be delayed....or even how much it will be delayed, if at all.
Since when is the Mendocino competition for the K6-3 anyway? I thought it was for the sub-$1000 market. The K6-3 will be more of a Pentium-II/Katmai rival.
What do I think of the delay? Assuming there is one...
Seems like business as usual in the chip business...delays and bugs.
Intel should be commended for actually moving up the release date of the Mendocino in that sense. Also seems like a bit of urgency so let's hope Intel has all the bugs worked out unlike the Xeon.
Jim
