Eric, the write off of inventory referenced in the article is in relation to the NP&L division which Mylex is halting. This is also where an additional 20 positions were eliminated (total 47 corporate wide). I'd much rather see them take this inventory write off now than keeping it on their books - let's get this over with.

Al said that they fully expected Mylex to be back in the black Q3. My guess is that this is before the $4- $4.5M one time charge. But I could be wrong. They are anticipating saving $2.3M (per Coleen)per quarter on a pre-tax basis. So all in all, I think this bodes well for the future.
