Crystallex Inernational's good-news reporter Roy Carson, writing in an April 28
VMI Briefing e-mail transmission from Caracas, Venezuela, reports that KRY
president Marc Oppenheimer is in the capital for a meeting with the Minister of
Energy and Mines, whom he does not name. The Irish journalist, who has an easy
rapport with senior KRY management, tells his subscribers not to expect much
news from Mr. Oppenheimer's visit because of confidentiality agreements between
KRY and the ministry. Many of Mr. Carson's subscribers are anxious for
favourable word from the supreme court, which has been mulling an appeal by
Crystallex in a case relating to mineral rights at Placer Dome's Las Cristinas 4 & 6
concessions. Referring to the court's long-delayed decision and the secrecy
surrounding the KRY president's meeting with the minister, Mr. Carson says he is
"advised that the situation is well under control by both sides, as will be shown
when full details are released for publication." Advises Mr. Carson: "There is
nothing now to do but wait, no matter how impatiently."
