Certainly anyone who is long in iaic feels more than a little bad. I do think it is a good company which seized the y2k opportunity and has now become profitable. Whether the shares should be $8. $30, or 1.50 remains to be seen. Regarding "six quarters" -remaining until 1/1/2000- most believe that y2k work will extend significantly beyond 1/1/2000. Sen. Bennett(R-Utah) the Senate expert on y2k made this point in a recent speech before the Wash. press core that was on C-span. He felt that many companies will not be close to be ready on 1/1/2000 and at least a couple more years will be necessary. It well be that IAIC will have higher revenues in 2001 than 1999. In any case time will tell.

On another note, I was saddened to read Elliot's sober thoughtful post. This thoughtful reasonable analysis was a side of Elliot I wasn't aware of. One could always count on Elliot to find good news for IAIC in the most unlikely places. I think my favorite was after India announced several nuclear tests Elliot felt this translated into more business for IAIC because a US boycott of India would cause companies who were using Indian programers for y2k work would now use IAIC! For those who are nostalgic for the old Elliot do not despair- he is alive and well on the TSQD board!
