Diamond Viper Graphics Cards/Win NT ----multimonitor

Len has suggested this earlier. Maybe he can expound:
Can you have different resolutions on each monitor? Does
it remember what things you had running on each monitor
each time you turn on the computer? Software configuration
issues? Less tweeking involved than the Millenium II multimonitor
solution? (Using the Millenium and Win NT - how many monitors will
work - just two?)

Looks really good.

PCI
128 chip
4 SGRAM
230 Ramdac

$99 - $20 rebate = $80

Multiple monitors are only supported in Win NT. Which would be fine
with me.

I suppose you can run more than two cards. Anyone
know for sure?
-------------------------------

My current situation of PCI slots: Asus P2b-L is only marketed
outside of the US. Vendors here get them through channels.
ESC can't get it for me. Totally Awesome is trying.

If I end up with just a P2B, then I'll end up using
one slot for the ethernet card, send get a isa sound card,
and use up the three other slots for monitors. To get four
monitors, I would have to go ISA ethernet card as well. Is
there a major disadvantage to an isa ethernet card?
Or just pay the $650 for the Colorgraphics card. That
would cost $350 more and I would be able to have PCI sound
and ethernet and have 1 extra PCI.

Another option is not to run all four monitors off this
dream computer. Just run two or three. Then find a way to add
another graphics card to my current Compaq that has its
graphics card built into the mobo. Anyone, if I add a PCI
card to this Compaq, would Win 98 recognize the graphics card
built into the mobo? Can't find any info out about the mobo
or the card.
