Gregor,

An interesting juxtaposition of your two responses:
#350: good deeds w/o faith is useless;
#352: no faith means why bother with good deeds.

I neither do things because of nor in spite of my acceptance of God. I do things, as best I can, because of the ethics that I live by. But if, because I do not accept Jesus, I will burn in Hell, then I'd rather burn having done good deeds than bad.

You believe in Jesus. It is interesting that you feel so strongly that you should be rewarded for your faith. I'd like to explore why you feel so strongly.

Oh, and by the way, do you think it's a good deed to counsel someone to break the laws that you believe in?

Greg
