Ed,

The following is a direct quote from Dan Murphy when I asked him to comment on DCTC's "objective" of building a compnay to be bought out:

"DCI's focus is to establish itself as a full-service, global
telecommunications provider.ÿ In the process of achieving this goal, it is necessary for management to take actions which will maximize shareholder value.ÿ Should an opportunity arise in which selling a part of the company represents a higher net present value than retaining ownership of that business unit (such as the Smartalk deal), then we must take the appropriate action."

It sounds to me that we will continue to grow as a company and become a real player in the telecom industry. If in the process of accomplishing that, an opportunity rises that proves more profitable to the company and its shareholders(such as a buyout offer), it may happen. It doesn't sound like that is the MAIN corporate objective as well it shouldn't as we can't necessarily control what offers will come our way. That is why I would prefer to see more controlled optimism in the expectation that we be bought out by September. It may not happen and that is not necessarily due to anything bad, it just takes time!

PS - Can anyone think of a reason we should not proceed with trying to get an AMEX listing. I know it was suggested a few days back that listing should not be something for us to strive for and that individual declined to expound.
