I've done the same thing myself in the past. You need to train yourself not to buy just when the excitement and positive comments are up only to sell at the depths of pessimism. Otherwise you will get eaten alive.

Instead pick stocks you believe will continue to outperform [even if they are tulips to some], then look at the charts coldly, calmly, and rationally; Then only buy when they are oversold [Look at the MACD indicator---http://www.e-analytics.com]. Sell when the MACD indicates overbought----very simple---but hard to do if you listen to emotional notes on this thread.

In my experience, this produces profits like clockwork in YHOO, AMZN, LCOS, DELL, SEEK, and AOL. You still have time to buy some LCOS calls and make up your loss IMO. LCOS remains oversold and the indicators are all pointing to buy.
