Linda,

I'm considering transferring my Web St. account to Brown & Co. Lately, I haven't been able to get through on the phone soon enough to complain about the lack of representation. Besides, I'm trading NYSE listed securities more often than Nasdaq now and the 5-10 commission sounds great.

Here's a quote from the Brown & Co. web site that I don't understand.
"Sell Orders. Certificates must be in our possession before a sell order can be accepted." Surely they don't mean you can't sell a stock you just bought a few minutes before, as in daytrade? Do you understand what they mean by this?

Do they have fast order entry and confirmations, at least faster than Web St.? I like Datek for speed, but want to have my eggs in more than one basket.
