Twister, It is within human nature to deny unpleasant prospects. Sun has a reputation for arrogance. Arrogance feels good to those with weak egos, but it also blinds them. It comes from McNealy but it is part of the corporate culture. McNealy is an amateur hockey player and he will "stick you" if he thinks he can get away with it. He got to be CEO in part because his father was an auto exec in Michigan and one of Suns really big investors was (maybe still is) the Michigan state pension fund. Almost all the original founders are gone now. McNealy had the legal insurance for the board of directors eliminated for directors suing the board because they did not agree with a policy. This, no doubt was to insure that only "yes men" serve on his board. This information is in the public court records in Santa Clara. Just my opinion with some facts.
