Steve, that's one of Mr. Kostolany's rules:
Instead of focussing the profit you could get or not, consider, if the stock you're thinking about would be a buying-opp. If not, it's a selling-candidate.
I love Kostolany, and I admire him. He's that intelligent that mostly his interview-partners (at least 3-times younger...) become arrogant cause K.'s intellect is situated too far from these youngsters horizon so that they cannot realize it anymore.
Sometimes, when you was posting from Paris, I had a imagination of you living like a young Kostolany - with style, calmness, charme. Irresistable for attractive women. Open-minded, cultured and personifying that so called "savoir vivre".
Where all thinking and acting is not more "useful" there's culture. We're happy that we can go south soon. What a great nation the Netherlands may have been when they were constructing these in his true meaning "human" towns like Zierikzee. What have they lost forced to fight against the Nordsee instead enjoying their lives in prosperity! And some predict that the fight will be lost for all times during the next 2-3 decades if the ocean-levels continue increasing.
When we consider, how expensive hurricans, tsunamis and fires are compared to a bit more intelligent acting with our environment? One single barrier (f.e. that closing the Haringvliet) have cost more than 7 Billion - and it's probably not high enough for surviving till 2020.
I'm in a triste mood, so I should stop crying here instead posting "supergains" and hoping for "rallies".
Happy trading!
