My own experience is about the only comparison that would
help me. As a buy and hold type I get to see my kids,
sleep at night, and not worry about my blood pressure
while making money with a 3+ year time horizon on every
single purchase.

As a trader, I make money but have none of the 'extras'
mentioned above.

I have done both and know a lot of folks that do both.
There is nothing like the thrill of a trade gone right,
I admit, but that hollow pit in the stomach when the
market lets you know that you are as clueless as everyone
else is what makes all the traders I know edgy and
makes them eager for contests instead of being willing
to just go take a nap.

Not trying to argue really, just relating my own experience.
